Sketches of Soul is a record that was never supposed to be a record. It’s a collection of tracks, some finished as many as 2 years ago, some finished as recently as 2 months ago, that reflects an aural sketchbook of ideas. Because there was no real direction when the project began, “Sketches” incorporates a very open minded approach to sounds and sampling. I just made music I felt like making.
