I wrapped up most of these tracks in the fall of 2019. I had about 20 or so. I just sat on them; making tweaks, trying to figure out what the project would and should sound like. No stress, no rush. I was enjoying myself. A few months later the COVID-19 pandemic rocked NYC and everything became increasingly uncertain. People, myself included, were just trying to get by day to day as best they could. As things worsened, and I listened back to these tracks to try take my mind off the world outside, I was so down and uninspired that I just hated all of it. I wondered what I'd been doing the year before, or why I was doing any of this at all. I didn't touch a thing for 6 months. One night in December I dug out the hard drive and pressed play and something clicked. I started to build a tracklist, to find an album arc, a voice, etc. And once I trimmed the fat and rearranged the puzzle pieces it just fit. It became a project that I really love, and one I'll always remember for a number of reasons. I hope you find peace in it the way I do. Thank you for the support as always. Take care of one another.
